When You Visit Us...
We hope you will join us for worship, Bible study soon! We want you to feel comfortable when you visit.
We are a family of believers in Jesus Christ who gather together to worship God, serve Him, and love each other. You'll find over nine hundred people who are part of this MacArthur Park family. Our family is diverse in race, age and culture... and for this we are truly grateful. In our diversity we share a common bond that brings all of us together... that is our love for God, his Son Jesus, and His inspired Word. You won't find perfect people in our church family... we have scars, sins and baggage just like most. We know that all men sin, and that sin separates us from our Creator. We are grateful that God has showed mercy and grace on us and provided a way back to him... through his Son Jesus. Our gratitude for this great gift has brought us together to minister to others, grow in knowledge of Him, and to worship God the creator. We would love the opportunity to share the good news of Jesus with you. What should I expect when I visit MacArthur Park? The MacArthur Park church family strives to be a friendly place. You'll be greeted at the front door and given information and directions. Please feel free to ask one of our greeters or ushers for directions to any part of our facility. Ministry Center & Greeters We have many doors you may enter our building. We encourage guests to enter through the MAIN LOBBY entrance at the east end of our facility. Parking lot greeters and door greeters can show you where the MINISTRY CENTER is located in the main lobby and are there to assist you in finding classrooms, and your way around our facility. Parking Our campus is served by one main parking lot which is located on the back side of our building from Loop 410. There are two entrances. Handicap parking spaces are located near the main lobby entrance. Seating When you join us for one of our worship assemblies please feel free to enter the auditorium and take a seat wherever you wish. The ushers will be available to seat you. In our assemblies you will not be singled out individually as visitor in any way. Family News Bulletin Be sure you pick up a copy of our weekly Family News which contains a list of all the things happening at MacArthur Park. If you have questions about anything, feel free to contact us. Singing You will notice in our worship assemblies that our music is "acappella". This means we sing without the accompaniment of musical instruments. We hope you will find it comfortable to fully participate in our congregational singing. Hymnals are located in the pew racks for your use in knowing words to the songs. We also use a large projection screen system which projects most song lyrics. We hope you find our praise and worship to be beautiful and uplifting. Worship In our assemblies you will find us worshipping God through the offering of praise in songs , prayers, communion, collection of the offering, and the reading of scripture. The Lord's Supper (communion) is shared each Sunday as we observe this memorial of Jesus' death and resurrection. Prayer requests may be sent forward each week by filling out a prayer card or texting to the prayer line. These are shared with the church family to pray about collectively as well as as individuals. Our Shepherds gather every Sunday morning at the end of the morning worship assemble to pray over all prayer requests. Each Sunday our church family takes up a collection which supports the work and mission of the MacArthur Park Church. As a guest, please do not feel obligated to make an offering. At the end of the sermon an invitation is offered for those who are requesting prayers or wish to be baptized. You may witness a baptism in our assembly. Baptisms are celebrated occasions at MacArthur Park. If you have questions about baptism, please contact one of our Shepherds or Ministers and they would be happy to discuss this with you. |
