  • MARK ABSHIER (ELLEN)

    SENIOR MINISTER

    Mark has been preaching at MacArthur Park since 2001.  Mark is married to Ellen and has two children and three grandchildren.  Mark and Ellen served as missionaries in Brazil before returning to the states and preaching in Kansas. When Mark is not preaching and teaching you might find him hunting, fishing or reading a good book.

  • RICHARD SHOUGH (JANET)

    EXECUTIVE MINISTER

    Richard came to MacArthur Park in 1995 and served as our Youth & Family Minister for fourteen years, He has served as our Church Life Minister and currently serves as our Executive Minister.  Richard is married to Janet and they have three children and four grandchildren.  Richard has served as Camp Director for CampOC camps on the campus of Oklahoma Christian for thirty years. 

  • DOUGLAS BROWN (LAURIE)

    CARE MINISTER

    Douglas has served as the Minister of Adult Discipleship at MacArthur Park since 1999.  In 2023 his is transitioning to serve as our Care Minister.   Before coming to MacArthur Park Douglas preached in Junction, Texas.   He is married to Laurie and they have three children and one grandchild. 

  • BARRY NEWTON (SOFIA)

    Associate minister

    Before coming to MacArthur Park, Barry preached in San Jose, California.  In 2023 Barry will be coordinating Adult Education.  He serves as our staff liaison to all our missionaries. He has served as a missionary in Brazil.  He is married to Sofia, and they have two sons, Timothy and Lucas. 

  • KEN HYSTEN (ETSUKO)

    WORSHIP MINISTER

    Ken is the newest member of the Mac Ministry team joining in the summer of 2023.  He grew up at MacArthur Park, graduated from Oklahoma Christian University, served as a missionary in Japan, and preached in Texas.  

  • JONATHAN JUAREZ (LAURA)

    STUDENT MINISTER

    Jonathan joined the MacArthur Park staff in 2021 as the Youth Minister. He and Laura met shortly after he moved to San Antonio and were married in the Fall of 2022.  He has a passion for introducing the Gospel to young people and helping them grow in their faith.  In his free time he enjoys watching movies, listening to music, watching sports, and enjoying a good cup of coffee.

  • JAHNNETTE BRANDT (JASON)

    Director of children's ministries

    Jahnnette and Jason raised their two sons here. Jahnnette has served as a school teacher and school administrator.  Jahnnette is passionate about sharing Jesus with children and helping parents as they raise their children. She loves children's literature.  When she is not teaching and reading you'll find her reading a book to the children. 

  • KIRBY ANTWINE

    CHILDREN'S MINISTRY ASSISTANT

    Kirby is married to Dan and the mother of two.  Kirby serves our Children's Ministry as a part time assistant. Dan has served as one of our Children's Ministry deacons for the past few years and they make an incredible team.

The church office is open Monday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
